Week 7

Here's my photos and a video (of the bulldozer pushing over a big 'ol tree clearing our site for the septic) from week 7:

Drying my laundry looked a bit comical so I took a picture

1st coat of paint on the walls, this coming week we will roll another coat on Monday

More of the 1st coat

I put this together on Thursday. It will have a 2-level countertop - one as a worksurface in the kitchen and the other will be a place to sit and eat or do homework on stools.

Still have some work to do on it... Also, that is the carpeting on rolled up on the floor back there... That will be going down soon!

On Friday I was waiting for a delivery, so I decided to tear down and fix a couple pieces of siding which had been bothering me - 6:8ers, don't worry, it wasn't stuff that you had done ;)

Done in an hour and a half

Lots to do yet in the next 3 weeks! I think we can do it though. Looking forward to Mom and Dad coming down next weekend to visit/bum around/help (whatever they decide to do)!

That's about all I have to say about that.

  2. Ah I miss MS already, can't wait til January! I am glad you went back and fixed the west wall siding! (i will be able to sleep better knowing you took care of it) Also, I'm so glad that you are able to do some custom cabinetry work in the house, you are so good at it, i hope that is able to help keep your creative juices going. Love the drying laundry, looks a lot like when i was staying there ;) If you think of it tell Annie Sarah & I say hi and we miss her!
